Q.1 My course is not opening when I click at the link given in the email?
A.1 Please check which Internet browser are you using. Right now we support Internet Explorer browser, Firefox and Safari. The course is designed to be used with these browser only although it may work with other browsers also with limited functionality.
 
Q.2 I get an error saying cookies are not enabled in my browser. How to enable cookies in browser?
A.2 Cookies are required to be enabled on you browser before running this course. To enable the cookies in your browser please follow these steps: -

You need to change some settings in your Internet browser.


Internet Explorer

   1. Choose Tools, then Internet Options
   2. Click on the Privacy tab
   3. Click on the Advanced button
   4. Tick the Override automatic cookie handling box
   5. Select Accept (or Prompt)


Mozilla Firefox

   1. Choose Tools, then Options
   2. Click on the Privacy tab
   3. Tick the Accept third-party cookies box
   4. Click the OK button


Safari

   1. Select Safari from the main menu, then Preferences
   2. Click on the Security tab
   3. Select Always to Accept Cookies
   4. Click the Close button


 
Q.3 If I have pop-up blocking software on my computer, will I have any problem accessing the course?
A.3 Popups are new windows that 'Pop-up' on screen when you click something; for example an Internet link. Some browsers now block this from happening as they have been used in the past to display advertisements, which can be quite annoying. Our courses in OLM need to open a window to display further content. If popups are blocked on your PC, content may not display correctly, and in some cases your progress may not be tracked. To check these settings in Internet Explorer go to Tools > Pop-up Blocker
 
Q.4 I'm not able to login using the password given. What shall I do?
A.4 Please note the password is cases sensitive. Your password always starts with capital 'P' and your username is always in a lower case.
 
Q.5 I cannot hear any sound when I play the course.
A.5 Please see if your sound button is ON and not in OFF position on your course screen. Still if you are not able to hear any sound, consult your IT administrator.
 
Q.6 I have completed the course. How will I get my certificate?
A.6 After all the modules in a course are completed; please click on Feedback & Certificate from your left side menu. It will open up a very short feedback form for you to complete. Once you submit these questions you will see a link to download your certificate in PDF format.
 
Q.7 My browser does not have Flash. When I try to download it I get the error saying" 'The user does not have sufficient privileges to install Adobe Flash Player'.
A.7 This might be due to restrictions on the PC's. Please inform your IT administrator about this issue. FLASH has to be installed before completing the course.
 
Q.8 I have looked at the course module but am unable to watch the video as the buffering is too slow or the course won't load properly.
A.8 This might be due to the low bandwidth and Internet speed. The course requires a minimum speed of above 512 kbps to load the video and sound correctly. Please contact your IT administrator in such cases.
 
Q.9 I'm not able to run this course from my I PAD, I PHONE or Android Phone
A.9 The courses that can currently be run from an I PAD, I PHONE or Android phone is "RUN HIDE TELL", ADVANCE STROKE COURSE HTML5 and "Moving People" (ambulance sector) all other courses to be run from a PC or Laptop, which has Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox or Safari as the web browser.
 
Q.10 The video is loading too slowly? How can I check my Internet speed?
A.10 Videos in the course will load slowly if you have a slow internet connection. To check your Internet speed please go to this third party link, http://reviews.cnet.com/internet-speed-test/ and select your location. After 1 or 2 mins, it will show you your internet line speed. It should be more than 512 kbps for the course videos to load properly. Otherwise the video's in the course would load very slowly, frame by frame.
 
Q.11 What are the software requirements to run these courses on my desktop/laptop?
A.11 Software Requirements are:

Java JRE between 1.6.0.03 and 1.6.0.35 . Latest Java 1.7 is not yet supported.
Stop automatic Java Updates
Internet Explorer 8 or above

Flash version 10.3 or above
Shockwave v11.6

JavaScript Enabled
Popups Enabled
